Chad Ford of reports that the Brooklyn Nets have bought another second-round pick, No. 54, from the Philadelphia 76ers (the pick originally belonged to the Dallas Mavericks).

The Sixers used the pick on Tornike Shengelia of Georgia (the former Soviet republic, not the Bulldogs), who we imagine will not play in the NBA for a few years. Shengelia was, however, at the Prudential Center to be greeted by deputy commmissioner Adam Silver.

Perhaps Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov has some inside intel on Shengelia. Earlier, the Nets bought the 41st pick from the Blazers, who selected Tyshawn Taylor.
