Report: Deron Williams, Jason Kidd will sign together with Nets or Mavericks

Deron Williams and Jason Kidd will come as a package deal to either the Dallas Mavericks or Brooklyn Nets, ESPN's Ric Bucher reported Saturday.

Bucher reported that Williams, he most coveted free agent on the market this offseason, will meet with both teams on Monday before deciding where to sign. Last Sunday, Williams narrowed down his choices to remaining with the Nets or signing with the Mavericks.

One source told Bucher that Williams and Kidd have already decided to sign with the Nets, but more sources tell him that Williams is still making up his mind. But most signs point to Williams re-signing with the Nets and Kidd joining him as the team's backup point guard.

First, Williams playing golf with Kidd in the Hamptons on Long Island this weekend, where Kidd has reportedly recently purchased a home. Also, ESPN NBA analyst John Hollinger tweeted that the salary-cap logistics make it more likely that, as a duo, Williams and Kidd would choose Brooklyn.
