After a week of speculation, the Minnesota Timberwolves apparently have gotten free-agent forward Nicolas Batum to agree to a four-year contract that could be worth more than $50 million.
Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press reported it first:
Earlier in the week a report said that Batum never wanted to play for the Portland Trail Blazers again
, but on Thursday new general manager Neil Olshey told Batum and Batum's agent that Portland would match any offers
and would not entertain any sign-and-trade deals.
