A team source involved in the trade tells Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com that the Indiana Pacers will acquire French center Ian Mahinmi from the Dallas Mavericks in a sign-and-trade deal.

Point guard Darren Collison and shooting guard Dahntay Jones will go to Big D, and Mahinmi will get a four-year, $16 million contract.

https://twitter.com/DraftExpress/status/223207589117308928 Mahinmi, 25, served as the primary backup to the soon-to-be-amnestied Brendan Haywood this past season, leading the team's centers in points, rebounds and minutes during their four-game, first-round sweep at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was a touted prospect when drafted by the San Antonio Spurs but did not come into his own until last season, his fourth in the NBA.
