Terrell Owens, who last played in the NFL as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010, faces the potential of jail time for failing to pay $20,000 in child support, according to a report Friday morning from ESPN.com:

Melanie Page Smith, the mother of Owens' 7-year-old daughter, has alleged that Owens has not made any payments in months, according to the report. The six-time Pro Bowler previously had agreed to pay Smith $5,000 per month.

If Owens does not attend the hearing on July 19 to address the missed payments, the County Judge in Atlanta reportedly told the attorney for the mother of Owens' child that he could face jail time. Owens' attorney took the blame for his clients absence at a July 12 hearing, claiming he forgot to communicate with Owens.
