Former Chargers lineman Marcus McNeill will retire
Former San Diego Chargers offensive tackle Marcus McNeill will retire according to his agent, and reported by UT-San Diego.
McNeill played six seasons with the Chargers and made the Pro Bowl twice. McNeill was recovering from a neck injury which forced the Chargers to release him in March.
McNeill was able to play only the first year of a five-year contract extension, worth $49 million deal, that he signed in October 2010.McNeill, drafted in the second round of the 2006 NFL draft out of Auburn, started and played in 82 games for his career.
