LSU's football team cancelled practice on Wednesday in anticipation of Hurricane Issac, but nothing has been finalized about canceling their season opener on Saturday, ESPN.com reports.

The Tigers are scheduled to play North Texas at 6 p.m. ET. Saturday

"We recognize the fact that we are going to miss Wednesday's practice and have to try to do what we would normally do today on Thursday," head coach Les Miles said.

Miles said the storm would have to pass before an assessment was made. The worst of Isaac had yet to reach Baton Rouge when Miles was on the call Wednesday morning.

As the storm approaches, LSU made their on-campus housing, the LSU football operations facility and Tiger Stadium available to house players.
