New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter tweaked his left ankle in the top of the eight inning in Wednesday's game against the Boston Red Sox and did not take the field for the next half inning.

Jeter grounded into an inning-ending 4-6-3 double play and grimaced in pain upon taking his first step past the first-base bag, although he did not visible turn or twist his ankle.
