The Chicago Bears offense was struggling even with Matt Forte on the field, and things went from bad to worse when Forte was forced to leave Thursday's game against the Green Bay Packers early in the third quarter with a sprained right ankle.

Alex Flanagan of NFL Network has updates:

Forte was injured on a 15-yard pickup after being tackled by Charles Woodson. At the time of his departure, Forte had 49 yards rushing and 31 receiving, which as Flanagan noted was the bulk of Chicago's offensive production.

UPDATE: Forte has been ruled out for the rest of the game.
