Matt Barnes signs with Clippers

Matt Barnes is switching locker rooms at the Staples Center. The Los Angeles Clippers announced today that they have signed free agent swingman Matt Barnes, who played last season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Barnes will provide depth at the small forward position behind Blake Griffin - a spot where he has made valuable contributions to the last two Lakers teams. Barnes averaged 7.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last season. He has made the playoffs in each of the last three seasons - 2012 and 2011 with the Lakers, and 2010 with the Orlando Magic.
