Giants safety Will Hill suspended 4 games for PED use

The NFL suspended New York Giants safety Will Hill for 4 games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances, the team announced Monday.

After not being selected in the 2011 Draft, Hill played Arena football before he was signed by the Giants in May. Hill has played in all five games for the Giants this season and has 11 tackles and one forced fumble. The forced fumble on a kickoff led to a touchdown in the Giants' 41-27 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

“I received a doctor’s prescription for Adderall prior to signing with the Giants,” Hill said. “Shortly after signing with the team, I was in a meeting with (director of player development) Charles Way, who reviewed the list of the league’s banned substances. I knew at that point that this may be an issue. I was tested and the results came back that Adderall was in my system. I appealed but lost the appeal. I accept full responsibility for this situation, and it won’t happen again.
