Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry will sit out the remainder of the preseason, Warriors coach Mark Jackson said, reports the Bay Area News Group.

Jackson says he isn't concerned about Curry's right ankle, which he re-injured Friday night in a preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Jackson said he doesn't see any reason to risk further injury. The Warriors have two preseason games remaining before opening the season at Phoenix on Oct. 31.

Curry had surgery on the ankle in April. He missed 40 games last season because of trouble with the ankle, and averaged career lows of 14.7 points, 5.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds.
