Report: Storm causes postponement of bounty hearing

Former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue postponed Tuesday's appeals hearings on the New Orleans Saints bounty case because of an impending storm that is set to hit the East Coast, reports ProFootballTalk.com.

The hearing was set to be held in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 30 as Hurricane Sandy is forecasted to hit the Northeast on Monday and Tuesday. There has been no report of a makeup date.

On Friday, NFL lawyers filed a motion in U.S. District Court in New Orleans saying that Tagliabue should be allowed to hear appeals in the bounty scandal. The union has until 1 p.m. ET Monday to file its response to the motion.
