The Jacksonville Jaguars traded wide receiver Mike Thomas to the Detroit Lions for an undisclosed draft pick, according to a source briefed on the deal in a report by Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

The Lions were looking to add depth at receiver after Nate Burleson broke his right leg against the Bears. Burleson is expected to miss up to eight months after surgery. Burleson's absence leaves the Lions with a struggling Calvin Johnson, Titus Young and rookie Ryan Broyles.
