Josh Hamilton The Seattle Mariners are reportedly looking into acquiring free agent Josh Hamilton

One of the biggest free agents currently available, Josh Hamilton is attracting a lot of attention. The latest look comes from the Mariners, who have an interest in acquiring Hamilton to help their failing offense.

Team president Chuck Armstrong confirmed the rumors, reports John Heyman of CBSsports.com.

"[GM Jack Zduriencik] is looking at it," Armstrong said. "We are going to have more money to spend. And we do need offense."
With the worst offense in the American League for 2012, the Mariners could use Hamilton to lift them from the bottom of the ranks.
