South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier received a two-year contract extension on Monday, a deal that keeps him at the school until the end of the 2017 season, reports WLTX, a Columbia, S.C. television station.

According to the report, the new contract does not change how much Spurrier is compensated. This season, Spurrier made $3.585 million and could get another $1.55 in bonuses. Spurrier, 67, is the all-time career wins leader at the school with 65 victories. South Carolina went 10-2 this season and will face Michigan in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1.
