Texas authorities investigate club that hosted Cowboys' Jerry Brown and Josh Brent
A sheriffs department in Texas in investigating the Dallas-based nightclub that served Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Josh Brent and the late Jerry Brown, who died in a car crash last week while Brent drove the car.
Privae, the nightclub that hosted 12 Cowboys that night and later said it is "saddened" by the news of Brown's death, is also under investigation by The Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission. According to a report from Brent Schrotenboer of USA Today Sports, TABC is working with Irving police and has the ability to fine, suspend or completely revoke a liquor license:
The state is investigating to see if alcohol was "served to somebody who was intoxicated, which is illegal in Texas," TABC spokeswoman Carolyn Beck said.
Brent was asked by the Brown family to meet them at the airport and sit by them during the funeral, according to ESPN reporter Ed Werder.https://twitter.com/Edwerderespn/status/278510073611943936
