UPDATE: Multiple reports indicate that Nick Wright's report is incorrect, though Wright stands by his original tweet.

Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel and GM Scott Pioli have both been informed that they will not be back next season, reports former Kansas City radio host Nick Wright, who has a reputation for breaking Chiefs news.

Pioli has largely foiled an otherwise promising roster by failing in his mission of finding a quarterback. Crennel guided the Chiefs to a 2-1 finish as interim coach in 2011, and it was Pioli's decision to keep him on.

The floundering Chiefs are currently 2-12 and average 13.9 points per game, the worst in the league. [tweet https://twitter.com/getnickwright/status/281527250736791552]
