Rex Ryan's attempt to decompress after a tumultuous 6-10 Jets season has only landed him back in the tabloids. While vacationing at The Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, Ryan was photographed by the New York Daily News lounging by the pool reading a book and revealing an unusual tattoo on his right arm.

The tattoo features a blonde-haired woman who bears a strong resemblance to his wife, Michelle, wearing nothing except a green Mark Sanchez Jets jersey.

Ryan reportedly cursed at the photographer before leaving with his wife.

Ryan displayed great loyalty to Sanchez for most of his four seasons as Jets head coach before benching him in favor of Greg McElroy in Week 13 against the Chargers. While Jets owner Woody Johnson said Ryan will return, and Sanchez is guaranteed $8.25 million in 2013, the pair's future with the team remains uncertain.

Gary Myers of the Daily News ponders how the tattoo might affect the Jets and their quarterback controversy:

This classic work of art could affect Ryan’s credibility with his players. Will they tease him about it? Will they be jealous of Sanchez? Will they think of Sanchez as the teacher’s pet? Couldn’t Ryan have expressed his ever-lasting love for the Jets with just a generic green jersey without a number? What was he thinking?
