Report: Roger Goodell received triple his normal NFL pay in 2011

Roger Goodell had a fairly hefty paycheck in 2011, taking home over $29 million from his employer the National Football League, according to tweets from the Sports Business Journal's Daniel Kaplan.

According to Kaplan, the NFL commissioner's normal pay was nearly tripled by the league in 2011 thanks to the new collective bargaining agreement with the player's union, as well as the signing of new TV contracts.

Goodell's contract in 2011 paid him approximately $10 million per year, but he signed an extension in 2012 that doubles that figure.
