Dodgers will broadcast games in 3 languages in 2014

The Los Angeles Dodgers will broadcast games in three languages in 2014 -- English, Spanish and Korean, report the Los Angeles Times' Bill Shaikin and Dylan Hernandez (via Awful Announcing).

The Dodgers will be the first Major League Baseball team to televise games in three languages, Shaikin and Hernandez report. Los Angeles starts its new contract with Time Warner Cable in 2014. The 25-year deal is believed to be worth close to $8 billion.

According to a document on the website of California State University, Los Angeles, L.A. has the highest Korean population of any American city. The data, which relied on the 2000 U.S. Census, lists 11 California towns and cities among the top-15 for Korean population in the United States.
