Free agent Elvis Dumervil has received formal contract offers from the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens, The Denver Post's Mike Klis reported on Thursday.

The Broncos have offered Dumervil a more front-loaded contract, according to the report. The team is attempting to re-sign Dumervil after a much-publicized contract snafu last week that led the team to cut him. But the organization is handicapped somewhat by the $4.89 million salary-cap hit it took when releasing Dumervil last week and may have to release a player or two in order to sign Dumervil.

Dumervil is not happy with the front-loaded contract from the Broncos, according to the report.

The Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans are also in discussions with Dumervil's agent, Tom Condon, but they have yet to present any formal offers.

The Broncos cut Dumervil on Friday because of a late paperwork filing the team blamed on Dumervil’s camp. Denver executive vice president John Elway said the team did not receive a fax in time after Dumervil had agreed to take a pay cut next season. Dumervil has since fired his agent.

The 29-year-old Dumervil had 54 tackles, 11 sacks and six forced fumbles while playing in all 16 games with the Broncos last season.

The Broncos have backup plans in defensive ends Dwight Freeney and John Abraham in case they fail to re-sign Dumervil. But each left Denver without a deal on Thursday.
