Dodgers' outfielder Matt Kemp avoids suspension

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp will not be suspended stemming from the bench-clearing brawl between the Dodgers and San Diego Padres on Thursday night, according to L.A. Times reporter Bill Shaikin. Kemp was ejected for his involvement in Thursday's night altercation between Zack Greinke and Carlos Quentin.

Quentin has been suspended for eight games while Greinke will miss eight weeks following surgery to repair his left clavicle.

Kemp confronted Quentin in the parking lot after the game and had to be separated by police.
