Baltimore Orioles manager Buck Showalter responded to New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan's comments about the Orioles and Ravens scheduling conflict on September 5th that couldn't be resolved.

“I understand the Orioles are playing a game at home. Well, who really cares? You’ve got 81 of them things at home and maybe you could’ve done the right thing and given one up and played 82 on the road and 80 at home. I really don’t think people are going to care about that game.

Showalter told Baltimore Sun reporter Dan Connolly that Ryan should be more concerned about a November 24th showdown between the Jets and Ravens in Baltimore.

"I try to stay out of things I don’t know about. ... I would stay in what is my area of supposed expertise." Showalter said. The Ravens will play their first game of the season in Denver on September 5th while the Orioles will host the Chicago White Sox in Baltimore on the same day.
