Darrelle Revis salutes Jets fans after trade to Buccaneers

Darrelle Revis saluted Jets fans on Twitter Sunday night,  hours after the team finalized a trade to send the star cornerback to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for this year's 13th overall pick in the NFL Draft and another selection next year.

The full message is below:

“Ibeen sitting around for the last hour trying to figure out what to say to the Jet Nation & I came up with this. The six years I played for the New York Jets were unbelievable. I put my body on the line everyday & did everything could to help the team win. I experienced a lot & & learned a lot. The memories I had in New York I will keep dearly to my heart. I want to thank all the jets fans for making me feel welcome."

Not everyone in the Revis camp was as sentimental after his departure. One source close to Revis told the New York Daily News' Manish Mehta that the "organization is not committed to winning."
