Pelicans guard Eric Gordon undergoes arthroscopic surgery
New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Eric Gordon underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove scar tissue causing pain in his left ankle on Thursday, according to the team.
Gordon's rehabilitation is expected to include a return to basketball activities later this summer.
The five-year veteran averaged a team-high 17 points while missing 40 games and being limited to a strict regime designed to allow his right knee to heal during the 2012-13 season. Gordon, the Pelican's most valuable asset, has been linked to trade scenarios in the upcoming offseason.
