The Detroit Tigers have placed outfielder Austin Jackson on the 15-day disabled list with a pulled right hamstring, the team said on Monday.

The Tigers will recall outfielder Avisail Garcia from the Tigers minor-league affiliate Toledo to take Jackson's place on the roster. Jackson sat out of Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Indians and his stint on the disabled list will be retroactive to May 12th. Jackson has a .272 average with two home runs and 11 RBI to go along with a Major League-leading 33 runs scored in 34 games so far this season with the Tigers. The Tigers rank second in the league in runs scored and first in RBI as a team.
