RB Felix Jones agrees to deal with Philadelphia Eagles

Former Cowboys running back Felix Jones has agreed to a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, reports Albert Breer. Jones also visited with the New England Patriots last week after his meetings with the Eagles.

Jones, 26, was selected in the first round of the 2008 draft (22nd overall) by the Cowboys. He's spent the entirety of his five-year career with Dallas and showed a lot of potential early on but was hampered by injuries. Last season, Jones played in all 16 games, starting in seven. He averaged 25.1 rushing yards per game and 16.6 receiving yards per game.

Jones will join a crowded Eagles backfield that includes LeSean McCoy, Bryce Brown, Chris Polk  and undrafted free agent Miguel Maysonet.
