To make room for Mark Teixeira and Kevin Youkilis, the Yankees sent pitchers Ivan Nova and Vidal Nuno to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the club announced. Both Teixeira and Youkilis completed their rehab assignments on Thursday. Both are in the lineup for Friday's game against the Boston Red Sox. Teixeira has missed the entire season with a torn tendon sheath in his right wrist and took 40 at-bats in extended spring training in Tampa, Fla. Lyle Overbay has filled in at first base. Youkilis has been out since April 28 with a lower back strain. Before the injury, Youkilis hit .266 with seven RBIs in 17 games.
