Blackhawks' Duncan Keith suspended one game for high stick

The NHL suspended Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith for one game for high sticking Los Angeles Kings forward Jeff Carter in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, the league announced.

Keith will miss game Game 4, which is Thursday in Los Angeles.

At 7:58 of the second period, Keith was assessed a double-minor for high sticking Carter in the face while the pair was skating behind the play. Carter left the game, but returned after missing about six-and-a-half minutes of game action and needed 20 stitches to close the gash on his face.

Los Angeles won the game 3-1 and trails the best-of-seven series two games to one.
