Tiger Woods back on top of Forbes list of highest paid athletes
Tiger Woods is the highest paid athlete in the world, according to Forbes. Woods spent 11 straight years at No. 1 before falling to No. 3 in 2012. The $78.1 million Woods made over the past year includes prize money, endorsements, appearance fees and golf course design work. Of the total, $13.1 million came from winnings from competitions, double his total from the year before. So far in 2013, Woods has won four majors on the PGA Tour.
SI's Fortunate 50: The 50 highest earners in sports Roger Federer was second at $71.5 million and the Lakers' Kobe Bryant was third at $61.9 million. Floyd Mayweather, who was No. 1 last year, dropped to 14th at $34 million.
