Troubled NFL cornerback Adam 'Pacman' Jones tweeted he was arrested for "protecting himself" on Monday. Jones' agent Peter Schaffer called the arrest a "travesty of justice" and said police haven't spoken to Jones.

According to Schaffer, two intoxicated women came up to Jones during a Cincinnati Reds game for a photo opportunity with the six-year cornerback. Schaffer said the two women took the photo and then threw a beer bottle at Jones and then Jones slapped one of the women. No further details of his arrest have been disclosed.

Jones was last arrested in July 2011 for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at a local bar in Cincinnati. He pleaded guilty and was forced to paid a $250 fine along with serving 50 hours of community service. Jones also had his probation extended by a year.

Jones recorded 32 tackles in 2012 while playing for the Bengals.
