Monta Ellis to opt out of contract with Bucks
Milwaukee Bucks guard Monta Ellis will opt out of the final year of his contract with the Bucks, according to multiple reports. Ellis will surrender the $11 million he would've been owed in 2014 and will become an unrestricted free-agent.
Ellis rejected a two-year extension worth $36 million from the Bucks last week before deciding to forego his final year of the six-year, $66 million deal Ellis signed in 2008 with the Golden State Warriors. Ellis was traded to the Bucks as a part of a multi-player deal involving Andrew Bogut in 2012.reported to have garnered interest from the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers.
