Two people are in custody and in the burglary of Oklahoma head football coach Bob Stoops' home, reports the Oklahoman.

The family was home during the robbery, which happened at 3:30 a.m. last Wednesday, and did not realized they had been robbed until they awoke in the morning. A vehicle was among the items stolen and no one was hurt during the burglary.

The reports says that one of the suspects discussed the robbery at a party and admitted to police that he participated in the burglary.

Corey McCarty was arrested on complaints of burglary, possession of stolen property, unlawful use of a credit card and grand larceny of an automobile.

Stoops has been the Oklahoma coach since 1999 and has a career record of 149-37. His teams have won eight Big 12 championships and one national championship in 2000.

More from the Oklahoman:

McCarty was taken to Norman Police Department, where he waived his Miranda rights and confessed to the crime, the documents state.

McCarty admitted entering the home and taking property and a vehicle with an associate, police said.

Stoops' home, 5400 36 Ave. NW, was burglarized early Wednesday while the family slept, police said. No one was hurt during the intrusion.

A vehicle and other smaller items were reported missing from the home, Norman police Lt. Eric Lehenbauer said.

Surveillance footage from the Stoops' home and from a business captured the images of two people suspected in the burglary, which police released Friday to the media.

Norman police said the two tried to use a stolen credit card that was taken during the burglary.
