Consider the New York Jets quarterback competition over before training camp even begins, according to the signal-caller who has turned the ball over more than 50 times the past two seasons.

Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez is set to start his "Jets West" passing camp this week with about 15 teammates near his home in Southern California and says he is not worried about training camp and the competition for the starting nod with rookie quarterback Geno Smith.

"When it's a straight-up competition for the job, let's roll," Sanchez said to ESPN.com. "It really doesn't bother me at all. It really doesn't affect my confidence or anything like that. We're competing for something. All right, I'm going to win. That's just how I am."

Sanchez is 33-29 as a starter in four seasons with the team and he knows if he can't cut down on the turnovers, he could find himself in another jersey next season.

"I love being here, I love playing here," said Sanchez. "We've tasted success here and we've seen that formula work and we're getting back to that. There was a little adversity last year. Call it a little, call it a lot, call it whatever. It doesn't affect the way I train, the way I work."
