The Miami Dolphins have signed first-round pick Dion Jordan, a defensive end from Oregon, the team announced.

The news comes the day after Jordan, the No. 3 overall pick in the draft, said "I'll be there" when asked about training camp, which began on Saturday. Seventeen first-round picks in April's draft now remain unsigned, including the Chiefs' No. overall 1 selection Eric Fisher.

Miami traded its No. 12 overall pick and second-rounder to the Oakland Raiders to move up to the No. 3 spot and select Jordan. The 6-foot-6, 240-pounder played both end and linebacker with the Ducks as a two-year starter, recording 14 career sacks.

Jordan missed time last season with a shoulder injury, undergoing surgery in February to repair a torn labrum that caused him to miss the Senior Bowl and may limit him in camp.

In 2012, the Dolphins' starting defensive ends were third-year pro Jared Odrick and two-time Pro Bowler Cameron Wake, who tallied 15 sacks.
