The Seahawks' biggest off-season move designed to get them over the NFC Championship hump to their first Super Bowl in eight years is starting to look a bit shaky. The team announced receiver Percy Harvin -- obtained via a trade with the Vikings in March -- will start training camp on the physically unable to perform list.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Harvin has suffered a "slight tear" in the labrum that could require surgery. Harvin will seek a second opinion early next week. ProFootballTalk confirms Harvin's tear -- spotted on an MRI performed Thursday -- and the possibility of surgery.

The Seahawks placed a high value on adding Harvin's speed and open-field threat to their offense, surrendering multiple draft picks to the Vikings and quickly signing him to a six-year deal worth $67 million.

The team has been happy with Harvin's work in minicamps. After being sidelined in the second half of last season with an ankle injury, bringing a history of migraines to Seattle and passing the team's trade physical, Harvin did not appear slowed until this week.
