Report: MLB won't suspend David Ortiz after dugout tirade
According to the Globe, Major League Baseball reviewed Ortiz's actions and deemed them not necessary for a suspension.
During the 7-3 Red Sox victory, Ortiz started in on home plate umpire Tim Timmons in the seventh inning following a strikeout. Ortiz believed he had drawn a walk earlier in the at-bat.
After returning to the dugout, Ortiz proceeded to destroy the clubhouse phone. He was ejected after his tirade and had to be restrained by teammates and coaches when he tried to yell at umpires on the field.[mlbvideo id="29202003" width="600" height="337" /]
