Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Plaxico Burress was carted off the practice field Thursday afternoon and returned with his right arm in a sling, per Dale Lolley of the Observer-Reporter.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported later Thursday night Burress had torn his rotator cuff and could be finished for the season.
