Atlanta Braves right fielder Jason Heyward suffered a fractured right jaw when he was hit by a pitch Wednesday in a game against the New York Mets and is likely out four-to-six weeks, reports MLB.com.

Heyward was hit by Mets starter Jonathon Niese with two outs in the sixth inning. The pitch, a 90 mph high fastball, hit part of Heyward’s batting helmet, breaking his jaw in two places.

The team announced Heyward will return to Atlanta to undergo surgery tomorrow.
