Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper and cornerback Cary Williams got into a fight at practice today and several players including quarterback Michael Vick had to separate the two.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Williams threw punches at Cooper after the two were engaged in one-on-one drills and had to be forcibly pulled away after he went back after the wide receiver after the initial fight.

Williams went to another field and paced around after the fight, while wideout DeSean Jackson went over and talked to Cooper.

Vick was upset after the incident.

"I try to be the peacemaker, but these young dudes don't respect me," he said. "Our maturity level's gotta be on a whole different plane. Regardless of who the catalyst was for the whole fight, that doesn't matter. We've gotta be men. We're not guys who are out on the street, fighting one another. We're teammates ... It's game week. We don't have time for that. I don't. It's a distraction."

Cooper was embroiled in controversy in late July when a video surfaced of him saying racial slurs at a Kenny Chesney concert. Williams was one of several players who said he had a problem with what Cooper said. Cooper later took a leave of absence from the team to seek help.
