The University of Texas will be without their starting quarterback David Ash for their game on Saturday against Ole Miss, according to the official Twitter page of the University of Texas.

Ash will miss Saturday's game with what Texas is calling injuries to his head and right shoulder. Head coach Mack Brown said senior Case McCoy would start in Ash's place. Freshman quarterback Tyrone Swoopes will backup McCoy on Saturday. Ash left Texas' 40-21 loss at BYU in the fourth quarter after a tackle forced Ash to leave the game. Through two games as quarterback, Ash passed for 594 yards and seven touchdowns and leads the team in rushing with 125 yards.
