Following the Houston Texans' 38-13 loss on Sunday, teammates came to the defense of quarterback Matt Schaub after the Reliant Stadium crowd cheered as he writhed in pain on the field with an ankle injury.

Cornerback Johnathan Joseph delivered the strongest message, via SportsRadio 610's Paul Gallant: "They gonna do that, don't show the f-- up."

Backup quarterback T.J. Yates, who threw an interception for a 98-yard Rams touchdown on his first drive after relieving Schaub, called the reaction "disrespectful" and said it makes him "unbelievably mad," according to SportsRadio 610's Will Grubb.

Linebacker Brian Cushing called it "barbaric."

Schaub has come under fire in Houston after the Texans' 2-3 start in which threw nine interceptions, including a pick-six in four straight games. He even had to call team security earlier this week when fans showed up to his house, took pictures of his family and reportedly yelled at him.

On Sunday, Schaub completed 15 of 21 passes for 186 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions before exiting during the third quarter. The Texas were down 31-6 at the time of the injury.
