Bears linebacker Lance Briggs will be sidelined 4-6 weeks with a shoulder injury, according to reports.

The seven-time Pro Bowler injured his left shoulder while attempting to twist away from Logan Paulsen's block during the Bears' loss to the Redskins on Sunday.

Bears coach Marc Trestman couldn't offer details on the severity of Briggs' injury after the game.

The Bears are also dealing with an injury to starting quarterback Jay Cutler. The team is reportedly preparing for the worst regarding Cutler's groin injury.
