The Washington Wizards have already dealt with injuries to Nene, Trevor Ariza, Otto Porter Jr. and Chris Singleton this season. Add emerging star Bradley Beal to that list.
The Wizards announced Tuesday that Beal was diagnosed with a stress injury to his proximal right fibula, the same leg that caused him to miss the final eight games of his rookie season with a different stress injury. Beal will miss the next two weeks and then be re-evaluated.
Beal, in his second year, leads the Wizards in scoring at 20.6 points per game on 43.9% three-point shooting. He also averages 40.2 minutes per game, which is tied with Carmelo Anthony for the league lead.
