The Texas Ranger and Oakland A's have agreed to a trade that will send outfielder Craig Gentry and pitcher Josh Lindblom to Oakland in exchange for outfielder Michael Choice and prospect Chris Bostick, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo! News.

Gentry hit .280 for the Rangers in 287 plate appearances last season. Lindblom, a second-round pick in the 2008 amateur draft, had a 3.08 ERA for the Rangers' AAA affiliate in 2013 and appeared in eight games with the major league club.

Oakland is expected to keep Lindblom as a starter after several teams had attempted to turn him into a reliever.

Michael Choice was taken tenth overall by Oakland in the 2010 draft and hit .302 in 2013, his first year in AAA. He also appeared in nine games with the A's.
