Spurs' Tiago Splitter out 3-5 weeks with sprained shoulder

The San Antonio Spurs have announced that C Tiago Splitter will miss three-to-five weeks with a sprained right shoulder, according to Jeff Caplan of NBA.com.

Splitter suffered the injury on Saturday night in the Spurs win over the Los Angeles Clippers, while putting up a season high 22 points. He missed games earlier this season due to a rib contusion and a sprained right ankle.

The 4th-year player has contributed 8.6 points and 6.2 rebounds a game in addition to being a strong defensive presence near the rim for the Spurs.
