Retired outfielder Bobby Abreu has been in contact with the Cleveland Indians regarding an MLB comeback, reports Fox Sports Ohio's Tony Lastoria.
Abreu last played in the majors in 2012 for the Los Angeles Angels and Dodgers. He finished with an on-base percentage of .350 but hit just .242 with three home runs in 100 games. The former All-Star for the Philadelphia Phillies has been playing in the winter league in his native Venezuela this offseason, and has been encouraged by his production.

The Indians have spoken with Abreu's agent but have yet to offer a contract, according to Jon Morosi of Fox Sports.
