The Cleveland Browns have hired Kyle Shanahan as the team's new offensive coordinator, according to Alex Marvez of Fox Sports 1.

Shanahan was offensive coordinator for Washington from 2010 until he and his father, head coach Mike Shanahan, were fired at the end of the 2013 season.

The Browns hired former Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine to be their head coach last week after an extended search.

Shanahan has previously worked as offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans, where he was the youngest OC in league history.
