Memphis suspends Dominic Woodson for using bad language
Memphis suspended freshman forward Dominic Woodson indefinitely for using inappropriate language during the Tigers' 76-70 win over Central Florida on Wednesday, reports CBSSports.com's Gary Parrish.
Tigers coach Josh Pastner, who does not curse, removed Woodson from the bench area during the second half of the game. Woodson played only three minutes.
"I did not like some of his language [that] he used," Pastner said. "So I said, 'See ya.'"
Woodson was also ejected from last Saturday's win over Gonzaga after receiving a flagrant foul.
"Dom is a good kid; he has a good heart," Pastner told CBSSports.com. "But there are some things that I just won't tolerate. I don't talk that way, and I don't want players in my program talking that way, and that's the bottom line.SI WIRE: Louisville-Temple, SMU-Rutgers games rescheduled due to storm
"My job is to coach Dom and to love him," Pastner added. "But with love comes discipline, and if a few wind sprints in practice didn't teach a listen, then maybe this suspension will.
